Anies Inaugurates Training Field of Jakarta International Stadium Today

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan inaugurated Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) Training Fields virtually on Monday (12/28). He emphasized that the training field is one of the milestones in completing JIS project which is expected to complete according to schedule, targeted quality, and budget.

Because through this training field, we want to show that we can bring global quality to the capital city

"Alhamdulillah we are not only grateful for its completion but also proud because through this training field, we want to show that we can bring global quality to the capital city and God willing, we will maintain it well and become a pilot model for all," he said in his remarks as quoted by Jakarta PPID Press Release.

On this occasion, he explained that soccer is not just a sport but also a unifying tool. JIS not only facilitates sport activities in Jakarta, even in Jabodetabek, both at national, regional, and international levels.

"Football unites all. This stadium becomes a tool and comes with a global class. The training ground which was inaugurated today is an appetizer. If we eat, there is appetizer, later the main course is when the stadium project is completed, but the appetizer itself has described the quality of the stadium," he explained.

In addition to construction, maintenance is one of the most important things that needs to be carried out properly. He hopes all parties will take care of JIS properly with disciplined management thus the quality will not decline even though it is used for years. He also hopes JIS training ground can help players to be accustomed to international quality fields.

"Mandate of Jakarta citizens is entrusted to Jakarta Governor through a democratic process, their aspiration is to build international quality stadium for Jakarta. That aspiration is ready to be implemented. With support from Jakarta Council (DPRD), thank God the assignment was given to Jakpro. Therefore, let me express my gratitude to all ranks who have worked hard to make this happen. Let us finish it. Recently its progress has touched 40 percent. Hopefully it can be completed earlier than the schedule," he conveyed.

In this inauguration, Jakpro President Director, Dwi Wahyu Daryoto also attended virtually with the ranks. Several members of Jakarta DPRD also attended this inauguration. As well as Persija players and the legendary Persija player, Bambang Pamungkas.

2. Grass with quality equivalent to the main field of FOP (field of play)

3. Resistance and durability 2-3 times stronger

4. Stands with capacity of 600 people

5. Field facilities are equivalent to world-class stadium

6. It can hold official matches for junior teams, national teams, and clubs

7. It has FIFA standard watering and drainage system
